Landis's first trip to the beach :o)

Our trip to San Diego was actually really fun. Landis did great in the car! Of course, Brandon sat with him the majority of the time and played with him, so that helped things a lot. The weather was awesome!! It was a great break from the crazy heat we've been having. We also got to see one of my childhood friends. I've known her since first grade, and her husband is a Marine and stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, where we both lived back in the day. It's weird how much I remember about the base after 15 years. And I could still get everywhere I wanted to go!

Anyway, here are some fun pictures from our trip!

Relaxing after a LONG ride in the car today.

Trying out the sand...

Not a huge fan...

It feels so funny!!

He didn't like the grass either. He wouldn't put his legs or arms down!

But he did find a rather interesting leaf... apparently it was quite tasty, too.

It's all pokey on my feet!

Looking at the boats in the Marina.

Sweet, huge dinosaur.

Here, little iron girl, I'll help you blow some bubbles :o)

Not so sure about the cold, approaching water...

He didn't even like to be held in it. The rushing water freaked him out, lol.

AH HA! We got sand on your feet!!

Finally coming off of the towel to check out the sand for himself.

And then he LOVED it!

It's really not so bad after all!

He ventured pretty far from our place in the sand... but Daddy joined him for the journey.

I stood up all by myself in the sand :o) I'm getting pretty good at this!

We stopped for lunch on our way home and Daddy took me into the play area!

It was really fun!

First time at the park with Daddy!!

Brandon was very anxious to take Landis to the park when he got home. Landis was excited too... but I don't think he knew that until after he got there. I think they both had a lot of fun, though!

Showing Daddy one of my new favorite toys! (Thanks, Aunt Ann!!)

Here we go to the swings!!

Daddy pushed me higher than Mommy approved of, but I survived.

AND it was REALLY fun!!!

I have big muscles too, Daddy!

This guy ain't so bad after all!

Tic...

Tac...

Toe... I WIN!!!

Ha ha ha... I can't walk yet, ya know.

Daddy's home!!!

Brandon returned home June 7th! This was the first time we got to pick him up from the flight line. There were a TON of people on this deployment. He said about 2/3rds of his shop was deployed, so it was a huge homecoming. It was fun to be able to be surrounded by so many others who had just gone through the same thing. Here are some photos from the big event :o)

In front of one of the helicopters Daddy works on

Trying to pass the time with a little walk around the hanger. Landis loves to push strollers and shopping carts!

Okay, he's been gone long enough... where the heck are they!?!?

Playing in Tristan's stroller

Hooray, the plane is here!!!!

There he is coming down the stairs!!!

Great to have him home!!!!

A few for starters...

Just a few random pictures :o)

I can stand up on ANYthing these days!!

Happiness is a mouthful of Peas and Carrots

Jackpot!

Putting me in this laundry basket is not as funny as it looks, Mom.

Mommy and me at Texas Roadhouse for her birthday. I see some delicious rolls over there...
